DANBox by Village Controls
In 2019, DANBox was recognized by the Illuminating Engineering Society as a “unique and significant advancement to the art and science of lighting” the DANBox is the first manufacturer-independent method for commercial lighting installers and support companies to remotely access their networked lighting installations. This allows technicians to remotely make changes and monitor customers’ systems any where they can connect to the Internet.
In addition to remote connection for technicians, the DANBox also allows remote monitoring via mobile device for your clients. By accessing a simple website with their username and password, customers can easily check the health and status of their system while making no changes to the operation of the system.
The DANBox is an OEM device developed in the industrial machine world and adapted for the technical requirements of networked commercial lighting systems.
Industrial Specifications
DANBox hardware gateways are rugged aluminum devices designed with industrial specifications. They support all features required for operating as secure access gateways for industrial installations – from small machines to complete production lines and whole factories. All DANBox’s are certified for global installations.
Flexible Connectivity
The DANBox supports remote access to any type of physical communication port of industrial devices. They also support multiple Internet access options via USB adapters. This means any DANBox can obtain Internet access via LAN, cellular or WiFi networks.
Security
DANBox is security certified according to the highest internet standards, performed by the independent security organization ProtectEM GmbH in Germany, in close cooperation with the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.

Village Controls offers live monitoring services of many lighting installations. We can notify you via email, text, or phone call if any part of your lighting network goes offline and stops responding.
